One of the most talented musicians ever to emerge from his mum, Mike Shorthouse has been a gigging jazz, pop and theatre musician since the age of 11. Currently based in London, UK, Mike's focus currently lies with mainstream song-writing and Mike Shorthouse Experience performances. MSE will be performing at venues across the city throughout the year as well as at several summer festivals.. Several tunes of his have been recently taken up by film production studios and libraries in both the UK and US. Mike is a hugely experienced performer. During his time, Mike has played almost every manner of public / private gig known to man, from big band sell-outs at national jazz festivals, to weddings and private parties for the rich and famous...orchestral gigs at the Royal Festival Hall, London to funk gigs on bass at the Cavern, Liverpool...from performing piano live on Japanese national radio to jam sessions at the Blue Note in New York, in Honolulu and LA, via sessions and solo performances at various clubs and venues in Japan. Mike also currently writes with and plays bass for Swedish recording artist, Klara Kjellen.
